The public has until April 12, 2011, to comment on the State Board of Pharmacy's proposed regulations for a cancer drug repository program. This program permits pharmacies to voluntarily accept donated cancer drugs and to dispense those drugs to indigent persons. Read more about the regulations for this program, including eligibility and standards, necessary forms, maximum handling fee, categories of drugs to be accepted, informed consent provisions, drug recall provisions, and theft and diversion minimization procedures.

PSOH's leadership has reviewed these regulations and believes that all the necessary safeguards for quality assurance have been incorporated. Thus, PSOH supports the proposed regulations for this program.
