CONNECTICUT ONCOLOGY ASSOCIATION MEETING
Meeting Date: Wed. Mar 4, 2026 Time: Evening Meeting 6 pm to 8:30 pm
Location: Sheraton Hartford South (formerly Rocky Hill Marriott) Rocky Hill
6 pm registration, 6:20 buffet dinner, 6:40 meeting starts
Topic “CT MD Perspectives – Opportunities in Lymphoma”. Please join notable physician leaders from Connecticut as they share their thoughts on clinical and operational opportunities related to lymphoma treatments and management. We hope for a robust interactive discussion – and perhaps to develop an ongoing patient care networking among CT cancer centers. Topics will include:
- · Current treatments for newly diagnosed patients
- · What can be done when patients relapse/progress
- · Current treatments in second line and beyond
- · What is exciting about potential future treatments
Physician Panelists are still being finalized, with commitments already from:
Iris Isufi, MD Dr. Isufi is the Co-Director Adult CAR T-Call Therapy Program, the Co-Leader Cellular Therapy Clinical Research Team and Co-Chair Cellular Therapy (CT)-SAFE Committee at Yale Cancer Center.
Syed Saqib Ali, MD Dr. Ali specializes in Hematology & Medical Oncology at Trinity Health of New England Medical Group in Hartford.
Dinesh Kapur, MD Dr. Kapur is the President of the Connecticut Oncology Association, practicing at Eastern Connecticut Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Kapur is chair of OneCouncil, the OneOncology partnership's all-physician advisory board for clinical and strategic initiatives.
Timothy Robinson, MD Dr. Robinson is an Associate Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale. Dr. Robinson has pioneered the use of radiation therapy to improve the outcomes of patients undergoing CAR T-cell therapy, having published the first series demonstrating the safety of bridging radiation therapy for patients with DLBCL undergoing CAR T-cell therapy, as well as a seminal patterns of failure study in DLBCL patients treated with CAR T, which showed that over a third of treatment failures in DLBCL treated with CAR T are local-only, suggesting a rationale for aggressive bridging radiation therapy in patients with relatively localized or high risk disease.
This is a not to be missed program for physicians and staff in every group in CT (hospital based or private.). You may register on the CT Oncology Association website, www.ctoncology.com, or by email to dawnho@aol.com. Registration is essential to ensure a seat.
